The adventure

A tiny developed site gives you two waterways to explore instead of one. Walk from Graves Creek recreation site to the Blackfoot River and find where the smaller drainage joins the bigger water. The site includes a simple put-in/take-out for non-motorized boats.

Leave the Graves Creek recreation-site parking, find the creek and Blackfoot River corridor, walk the water's edge long enough to understand how the two fit together, return. Vault toilets serve the small recreation area. Creek and river vegetation can hold birds even when the surrounding country feels dry.

ONCE YOU’RE THERE Park within the Graves Creek recreation area north of Soda Springs. Explore on foot around the developed site and river access, locate Graves Creek and the Blackfoot corridor without trampling wet banks, then return to your parking spot.

LOCAL INTEL There is no trash service; leave with everything you brought.

FEES, PERMITS & ACCESS No mandatory entrance, parking, access, permit, reservation, or similar fee is required to complete this Adventure as routed.
