The adventure
Silver Lake’s open dunes are one of the few places in the Midwest where off-road vehicles can legally roam a broad sweep of sand near Lake Michigan. The terrain alternates between steep sandy hills, bowls and wide vistas that look unlike almost anywhere else in the state.
Driving on soft sand demands technique and preparation, but the reward is a memorable blend of motorsports and Great Lakes scenery. The dunes shift with wind and traffic, so every visit can feel different.
ONCE YOU’RE THERE
