The adventure
Marquette’s rocky ridges and deep green woods have helped turn the city into a destination for mountain biking. The Noquemanon Trail Network winds through terrain where short climbs, fast descents and Lake Superior country create a distinctive Upper Peninsula ride.
Rather than one fixed trail, NTN offers a network of connected routes with varying difficulty. A moderate loop can mix rolling forest singletrack with more technical segments, while experienced riders can seek out challenging rock features and descents.
ONCE YOU’RE THERE
Start at a designated NTN trailhead, study the current route map and choose an approximately eight-mile combination of open trails. Follow directional signs and return to the same lot.
LOCAL INTEL
NTN includes different trail systems around Marquette. Trail difficulty and direction vary; local maps are more reliable than a generic route name.
TRAIL CONDITIONS & SAFETY
Expect roots, rocks and weather-sensitive surfaces. Avoid closed or muddy trails and carry basic repair gear.
FEES & ACCESS
General trail access may be free; check current parking and trail-support policies.
